WUKF 2nd European Championships for Children, Cadets and Juniors and WUKF 3rd International Open for Seniors
5-9 October 2011 - Győr, Hungary
|
Athletes of our federation (children, kadets, juniors and seniors) won a total of 27 medals (8 gold, 4 silver, 15 bronze) on this competition and reached the high-ranked 5th place in the panel of medals of the European Championships as well as of the International Open Championships.
The championships took place with more than 2000 nominations by 1500 athletes. Most of our competitors did their best on this extremely large event, but in several categories (with 40-50 or even 70 participants on the startlist) even 3 wins was still not enough for reaching the podium.
The Hungarian team was accompanied by Csaba Bárdi, Dr., Márk Molnár, Dr. and Attila Szécsényi international referees and Ákos Nagy (Bátaszék) and Tamás Pénzes (SZAC) coaches helped the competitors at the event. Special thanks goes to further coaches who helped the preparation of our athletes: Csaba Erdei (Botond), Tibor Fási (Galga) Zsolt Hamza (Virtus) and Gábor Számedli (SZESE).
