National team of the Hungarian Wado-ryu Karate Organization presented by 34 competitors and led by President Tibor Rostás and Coaches Gábor Számedli and Csilla Hegedűs took part on the 2nd WUKO Senior and Veteran World Championships in Valencia, Spain between 20-24 June 2007. 580 competitors from 33 countries and 58 WUKO member karate organizations represented in different styles of karate participated in the world championships where the Hungarian team achieved the outstanding 4th place in the panel of medals! According to our knowledge this is the best result in the history of the Hungarian karate practice.
